Our project Distort-to-Grasp has been granted be the ERC. We will investigate the interplay of nematicity and superconductivity to better understand these correlated electronic phases with multiple degrees of freedom. More info will follow soon. Just contact us if you are curious.
We study materials whose properties are dominated by quantum mechanical effects. They frequently show strong correlations between the approx. 1023 electrons in a typical samples and have unkown or unexplained properties. This includes fascinating effects such as magnetism or superconductivity, which we study using diverse experimental techniques.
Prof. Anna Böhmer started as a professor at the chair for solid state physics on 1\1\2021. See news.
